Welcome to RecCreate Collective LLC ("RecCreate," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, registration for workshops and events, and participation in our services.

By accessing our website, purchasing tickets, registering for an event, or participating in our experiences, you agree to these Terms.

About RecCreate

RecCreate Collective LLC is a creative studio based in Brooklyn, New York, offering workshops, creative gatherings, private events, and related services.

Eligibility

Participants must be at least 14 years of age to attend our workshops.

Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian unless otherwise specified.

For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted at our events, with the exception of trained service animals as required by law.

Event Registration & Payment

Registration is confirmed only after payment has been successfully processed.

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

Payments are securely processed through our third-party payment processor, Stripe.

Public Workshop Cancellation Policy

All registrations for public workshops are final.

We do not offer refunds, transfers, credits, or exchanges for missed workshops, scheduling conflicts, late arrivals, or changes in personal circumstances.

If RecCreate must cancel or reschedule an event, registered participants will have the option to:

  • Transfer their registration to the new event date; or

  • Receive a full refund.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events due to instructor illness, insufficient enrollment, weather, venue issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Private Events

Private events are governed by the separate agreement executed between RecCreate and the client.

If any provision of these Terms conflicts with a signed private event agreement, the terms of the signed agreement shall control.

Participation & Safety

Participation in our workshops is voluntary.

Creative workshops may involve the use of materials and tools including, but not limited to:

  • scissors

  • craft knives

  • rotary cutters

  • needles

  • carving tools

  • heat tools

  • adhesives

  • paints

  • inks

  • other crafting materials

By participating, you acknowledge that these activities involve inherent risks of cuts, burns, allergic reactions, or other minor injuries.

You agree to exercise reasonable care, follow instructor guidance, and use all tools responsibly.

RecCreate reserves the right to refuse participation in any activity where unsafe behavior is observed.

Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability

By participating in our workshops or events, you voluntarily assume the ordinary risks associated with creative activities.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RecCreate Collective LLC, its owners, employees, instructors, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, theft, damage to personal property, or other claims arising from your participation, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

Code of Conduct

We strive to create welcoming, respectful, and inclusive creative spaces.

By attending a RecCreate event, you agree to treat fellow participants, instructors, and staff with respect.

We reserve the right to remove any participant without refund if they engage in behavior that is:

  • disruptive

  • threatening

  • unsafe

  • discriminatory

  • harassing

  • intoxicated to the point of disrupting the experience

  • otherwise interferes with the safety or enjoyment of others

Photography & Video

We may photograph or record workshops and events for promotional, educational, editorial, and marketing purposes.

By attending our events, you acknowledge that photographs or videos may include your likeness.

If you prefer not to appear in photographs or recordings, please notify a member of our team upon arrival, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, branding, graphics, workshop materials, downloadable resources, class concepts, and other original content, is the property of RecCreate Collective LLC unless otherwise indicated.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, publish, or otherwise use our content without our prior written permission.

Participation in a workshop does not grant permission to copy, teach, reproduce, or commercially distribute our workshop materials or instructional content.

Website Use

You agree not to:

  • use the website for unlawful purposes;

  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems;

  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;

  • introduce malicious software or harmful code;

  • copy or scrape website content without permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the website for violations of these Terms.

Third-Party Services

Our website and services rely on third-party providers, including but not limited to Squarespace, Luma, Stripe, Flodesk, Zapier, and Google Analytics.

Your use of those services may also be governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

Disclaimer

Our workshops are intended for educational and recreational purposes.

While we strive to provide accurate information and enjoyable experiences, we make no guarantees regarding specific artistic outcomes or individual results.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Changes become effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms on our website. Continued use of our website or participation in our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
